Glowz ("Glowz," "we," "us," or "our") is operated by Chench LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the Glowz mobile application (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to this Policy.
We built Glowz to be privacy-first. Your photos and personal skin data stay on your device.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide:
- Onboarding answers such as your tanning goals, skin sensitivity, desired shade, and preferences.
- Progress photos and the skin-scan selfie you choose to take.
Photos:
The selfie used for your skin scan and any progress photos you add are stored locally on your device. We do not upload, transmit, or store your photos on our servers.
Location:
With your permission, the App uses your approximate location to fetch the local UV index and weather forecast. Your coordinates are sent to our weather data providers (see "Third-Party Services") solely to retrieve this data. We do not store your location on our servers.
Purchase and usage data:
When you subscribe, purchases are processed by Apple. We use Superwall to manage subscriptions/paywalls and to collect analytics about app usage and purchases (such as device type, app events, and subscription status). This helps us understand engagement and improve the App.
Notifications:
If you enable notifications, we schedule local reminders on your device (for example, UV alerts and routine reminders). These are generated on-device.
2. How We Use Information
- To provide and personalize your tanning routine and UV recommendations.
- To operate features like the skin scan, progress tracking, and reminders.
- To process and manage your subscription.
- To analyze usage and improve the App.
3. How Your Information Is Stored
Most of your data — including photos, skin analysis, preferences, and stats — is stored locally on your device. Deleting the App removes this data from your device.
4. Third-Party Services
We rely on the following third parties, each with their own privacy practices:
- Apple (App Store purchases, and Apple Weather/WeatherKit for forecast data).
- Superwall (subscription management and analytics).
- Weather data providers, including Open-Meteo, which receive your coordinates to return local UV and forecast data.
We encourage you to review their privacy policies.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the service providers listed above, as needed to operate the App, or if required by law.
6. Your Choices
- You can control camera, photo, location, and notification access in your device Settings at any time.
- You can delete your photos within the App.
- You can delete all app data by deleting the App.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple account settings.
7. Children's Privacy
Glowz is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you are under 18, please use Glowz only with the involvement of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will address it.
8. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information. However, no method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted here with an updated "Last updated" date.
